Ben Andrews: Strong all round defender who joined at the beginning of the season from Horsham YMCA. Previous Clubs include West Chiltington, St. Albans, Worthing and Brighton & Hove Albion. Very good from Set Pieces.
Matt Ash: Is now in his third season with the club having joined from Mile Oak in 2000. Has mainly featured in the reserves team for the Hillians. Quick, pacy winger.
Ronan Callaghan: Young goalkeeper who is a product of the Youth Team. Made his first team debut last season in the 3-1 win over Peacehaven. Mainly features in the reserves.
Ashley Carr: Joined Burgess Hill for a second spell in 1996 after having spells with Shoreham and Whitehawk. Has played over 300 appearances for the Hillians and scored over 175 goals. Strong striker who holds the ball up brilliantly and has great skill.
Richard Carter: Another in his third season with the Hillians after joining in 2000. Attacking midfielder who has scored some great goals for the Hillians who has plenty of skill. Former teams include Brighton, Worthing, Southwick and Shoreham.
Phil Churchill: Joined the Hillians a few games into last season from Horsham YMCA and finished as the Hillians top scorer last season with 34 goals. Good finisher of the ball and has previously played for Wick, Horsham and East Preston. Has played for Sussex.
Leo Day: Leo rejoined Burgess Hill for a third spell from Withdean 2000 and has also played for Southwick and Crawley Town. Started with the Hillians in the successful Youth Team of 1998. Strong battling midfielder who never gives up.
Adie Downey: Adie began his playing career with the Hillians first team in 1992 when he came on as sib after 5 minutes in the RUR Cup Final win of 92. Has only spent one season away since then and that was with Ringmer. Always leads by example.
Sean Edwards: Sean is a player/coach at the moment with the Hillians and is in his forth season with the Hillians. A strong midfielder with lots of experience. Previous teams include Brighton & Hove Albion, Crawley Town, Hythe United, Upper Beeding and professionally in Hong Kong.
Pat Gannon: Young goalkeeper who broke into the first team early last season. Joined the club midway through the 2000/2001 season from St. Francis. Very quick reaction and one of the best keepers in Sussex.
Matt Geard: Has just joined the Hillians after being released by Brighton & Hove Albion. Has also played for Ringmer. A definite player for the future with lots of skills.
Des Guile: Another player who is in his third season. Joined from Lancing and has also played for Mile Oak as well as representing Sussex. Has become a regular first team player after a slow start when he first joined.
Steve Harper: Joined from Tonbridge Angels at the end of the 2000/2001 season. Got plenty of interest from professional Clubs after a great start to last season and trials with Millwall. Struggled with injuries at the beginning of this season.
Jay Head: Strong defender who captained the successful Youth Team of 1998/1999. Moved up to the first team the following season and was voted Man of the Match in Hillians 4th Qualifying Round game against Hereford United. Former clubs include Withdean 2000.
Lee Isaac: Originally a member of the Youth Team before breaking through to the first team. He then moved onto Hastings and then to Inter Turku in Finland, before returning to England four years later joining Eastbourne Borough. Returned to Burgess Hill midway through the 2000/2001 season.
Darin Kilpartrick: Player/Coach has suffered with injuries recently. A strong utility player who has also played for Bognor Regis, Worthing and Worthing United. Has also represent Sussex.
Tom Levitt: A product of the Youth Team, who has also played for Ansty Rangers and the Sussex Under 18 side. A good player for the future.
Andy Lutwyche: Now in his forth season with the Hillians. Former teams include Southwick, Shoreham and Worthing. Also plays Sussex League Cricket for Worthing. Very speedy defender who has also represented Sussex.
Tim Marshall: Has suffered from injury recently. Has been playing the reserves mainly but at the end of last season he had a run in the first team. Joined from Shoreham in 2001 and has also played for Southwick and Tonbridge Angels.
Sean Randell: Joined from local rivals Hassocks at the beginning of the season. Has previously played for Ringmer, Peacehaven and Saltdean United. Can play in an attacking midfield role or as a striker. Can pass the ball well and has good vision.
Aaron Ransom: Joined the Hillians at the beginning of the season from Portslade who play in the Brighton District League. Good finisher of the ball and scored his first goal this season in the 3-0 win over Peacehaven, sadly in scoring the goal he picked up a serious injury.
Nick Sullivan: In his second spell with the Hillians having spent some time with Crawley Down. Started with the Hillians Youth Team and is now playing in the reserves and first team. Very speedy striker.
John White: Member of the Youth Team for the last few years. Has mainly featured in the reserves this season and last season. He was voted Reserve Team Player of the Year last year. Strong right back.
Paul Williams: Very reliable Utility player. In his second spell with the Hillians having rejoined in 1998. His first spell started in the late 80s with the Hillians. Former Clubs include Wick and Shoreham. Dead ball specialist. Also represented Sussex on many occasions.
Louis Wright: Joined from Haywards Heath where he has been for a few years. The Hillians had shown interest in the player last season as well. Very pacy skilful player who is a player for the future.
Danny Bloor: In his first season of senior Management. Was Assistant to Gary Croydon last season and Reserve Team Manager the season before. In his playing days he played for Shoreham and Southwick.
